If you're 65 or older and need help at home instead of moving to a nursing facility.

Using Morning Star through a state program

Morning Star Home Care is an enrolled Connecticut Medicaid provider for approved non-medical services under CHCPE and the PCA Waiver Program.

Important: the state program decides your eligibility, what services are authorized, and which provider you're assigned. Enrolling in a program does not guarantee services, or that Morning Star will be your provider.

Your local senior center

Most Connecticut towns have a senior center or a municipal agent for the elderly. They help with transportation, meal programs, benefits counseling, wellness programs, social activities, and tax-relief information.

Call your town hall, or search 2-1-1 to find the one serving your community.

Transportation is run town by town. Call your senior center, municipal agent for the elderly, or local transit provider to confirm eligibility, service area, how far ahead to book, and fees.

Meals & food

Meals on Wheels

If you're 60 or older (plus your spouse, and some younger adults with disabilities). Connecticut's Senior Nutrition Program delivers meals and runs community dining sites.
